Past projects include new construction and the conversion of former schools and hotels into housing and the rehabilitation of commercial properties. |
Community Development Assists communities in securing grant funds to address community development needs including but not limited to; ADA accessibility projects, construction of senior centers, social services, infrastructure for roads, sewer and water lines. Assists low-moderate income homeowners with financial assistance for housing rehabilitation. |
Home Ownership Operates a homebuyer training program through Berkshire Fund, Inc. The program educates low and moderate-income families on purchasing their first home. Program participants are educated in obtaining mortgages from local lenders at below market interest rates and low down payments. Families may not have owned a home within the last three years. |
Property Management Berkshire Housing Services, Incorporated manages a real estate portfolio with an estimated market value of $100,000,000, including rental housing developments, condominiums, second home communities, commercial and retail properties. |
