From the South:

Take route 7 or 8 North. Pittsfield is approximately 30 miles from the Connecticut border on Route 7 and 36.5 miles on Route 8.

Once you are in downtown Pittsfield continue North on South Street (Route 7). Go ¾ around the rotary (Park Square) and take a right on North Street (Route 7). Berkshire Housing is located in the 2nd block.

From the North

Take Routes 7 or 8 South. Pittsfield is approximately 20 miles from the Vermont border on Route 7 and 25 miles on Route 8.

From Route 8, you will travel approximately 22.5 miles then go West (right off 8) on Dalton Ave. Dalton Ave will turn in to Tyler Street. At the end of Tyler Street take a left onto North Street (route 7). Berkshire Housing is approximately 7/10 of a mile on the left side of the street.

From Route 7, once you are in downtown Pittsfield continue South on Route 7 which is now North Street. Berkshire Housing is approximately 7/10 of a mile after Berkshire Medical Center, on the left side of the street.

From the East:

Take route 9 west from the Northampton area which will take you into downtown Pittsfield via Dalton Ave/Tyler Street. At the end of Tyler Street take a left onto North Street (Route 7). Berkshire Housing is approximately 7/10 of a mile on the left side of the street.

If traveling East on Route 2, take Route 2 in to North Adams. In North Adams follow signage for Route 8 South, you will travel approximately 22.5 miles then go West (right off 8) on Dalton Ave. Dalton Ave will turn in to Tyler Street. At the end of Tyler Street take a left onto North Street (route 7). Berkshire Housing is approximately 7/10 of a mile on the left side of the street.

From the East and West using the Massachusetts Turnpike:

For those traveling in from New York or points further East in Massachusetts take the Massachusetts Turnpike (New York Thruway) to the Massachusetts Turnpike exit 2 in Lee. In Lee take route 7 and 20 North. Once you are in downtown Pittsfield continue North on Route 7 on South Street. Go ¾ around the rotary (Park Square) and take a right on North Street (Route7). Berkshire Housing is located in the 2 nd block.

Parking:

Parking is available on the street for 90 minutes without charge. The city parking garage is located on Mckay Street which is one street West of  74 North Street. Parking in the public area in front of the garage and the public spaces inside on the first floor are limited to 3 hours. Parking is closely monitored by the City Traffic Department.
