State Assisted Housing Programs

Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program

A very limited number of state funded subsidies providing rental assistance to low income individuals. A combination of mobile and project based subsidies make up this program. At this time the program has been hard hit by the state budget cuts. The waiting list is currently closed.

Rental Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT)

Available funds for families needing rent or mortgage arrearage, security deposit, home heating fuel, transportation expenses, etc.  Rental/mortgage fees cannot exceed 50% of monthly income.  Applicants must meet various eligibility requirements.  Call 499-4887 ext. 127 for information.
